  • Open Outlook; select “Features” from the list of menu items at the top of the Outlook window.
  • Click on “email accounts”. Outlook email wizard should start at this point.

  • Fill “User Information” for your Earthlink account. Next to “Your Name”, type your name. Enter your full email address in the box next to “Email Address”.

  • Enter “smtpauth.earthlink.net” in the field asking for Outgoing Mail Server.
  • Enter the “Login Information”. In the box next to “User Name”, enter your full e-mail address. Enter your Earthlink account password in the box below your email address.
  • Select “More Settings” in the lower right corner of the wizard window.
  • Go to the “Outgoing Mail Server” tab at the top of the window. Click the box next to “Outgoing mail server (SMTP) requires authentication”.
  • Now click on the “Advanced” tab and set “Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)” to “587”.
  • Finish the installation by clicking the “Next” button and then the “Finish” button.
